Gluten-Free Pizza Reviews | | Submitted by Sara - . Submitted on 3/19/2012 6:24:14 PM | I recently found out I'm gluten intolerant, and I order pizza almost every week. I have switched to ordering pizza from Garlic Jim's exclusively because they offer gluten free pizza! The gluten free crust is so good, you'd never know it's gluten free. It tastes like a good, thin crust! To simplify things, we order gluten free crust for the whole family, even though I'm the only one who's gluten intolerant, and nobody complains!

Submitted on 9/16/2011 3:29:31 PM | I am gluten intolerant and also have a mild allergy to corn, today I went to my local Garlic Jim's and was surprised to find that the pizza dough itself contained no corn. I have had to go without most things I love due to my allergy, and I was so so happy when I tasted this pizza to find that I really reallu like it. I also get way fuller on this crust than I have any other slice of pizza, after two slices I am stuffed. I will be coming back very soon, and plan to make it a habit.

It is the best GF pizza I have had ever! The cracker thin crust held up perfectly, did not get soggy during the drive home even though it was a custom order with 6 ingredients. I loved your regular pizza crust and now that I have found that I have to avoid gluten I can still enjoy a wonderfully flavorful pizza again. Thank you for being at the forefront of gluten free.

It is better than any pizza I had eaten even before I had to go GF! You are the best, whether pickup, home deliver or frozen at my favorite supermarket!

Not only was the pizza AMAZING, the girl that rang us up let us know about a deal going on, and saved us a good chunk of change as well. So our pizza was GF AND cheap. That is UNHEARD of! :)
I also just read that you use GF flour to toss ALL your dough in (whether the dough itself is GF or not...) and it made me so very thankful for you guys.
Thanks for the amazing, GF pizza- I am forever grateful!!!

WE have tried so many pizzas home made & parlor. None can compete with the pizza when it's cold. I though all gf pizza was terrible cold. We took home our leftovers. The next day we were AMAZED that the pizza still tasted like PIZZA! Oh & try the gf hot wings too. The service was great we were passing though town & needed a place to eat. He set up the tables to make us comfortable.THANK. YOU! We will be pass though town again today & will pick up pizza & hot wings to take home to our kids an hour away.

| | Submitted by Lindsey - . Submitted on 3/1/2011 6:00:17 PM | I was recently diagnosed with a wheat allergy and had yet to find a good pizza crust until now. Garlic Jim's is AMAZING! At first I checked the label on the box again because I couldn't believe it was gluten-free. My boyfriend even loved it. I'm happy to be able to eat pizza again from time to time. It's about 30 minutes away from my apartment, but I will make the trip. Thank you, Garlic Jim's!

Your shop in Kent makes the very best pizza than can be made GF or wheat.. I do buy a GF pizza every week..

On a recent long weekend trip to Seattle and environs we had the opportunity to eat your pizza at the Marysville location. OMG it was so good. My daughter and husband have Celiac disease and I now have allergic reactions when I eat wheat. So it was great to be able to order a pizza at Garlic Jims, knowing all the precautions taken to avoid any cross contamination.
We just loved the thin crust, cooked to perfection, crispy at the edges, with a slightly sweet taste. The cheese and all the toppings were absolutely delicious. As soon as we were finished, I had to ask what time they were open on Sunday, because we had to eat there again on our drive home! Just as good the second time around.
Now we need you to open in British Columbia. Until then, we have to wait for our next trip into Washington. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product.

| Garlic Jim's Gluten-Free Pizza | | Submitted by Brad - Snohomish, WA. Submitted on 8/24/2010 4:01:15 PM | I am SO glad to have discovered the gluten free pizzas from Garlic Jim's. The pizza is amazing and does not have the typical gritty gluten free taste as with other products found on the market. The toppings are of great quantity, are very fresh and tasteful. The crust is thinner then I was used to; however, still tasted amazing and had a good amount of density to it. I appreciate the info provided on the flour used in the locations in the preparation areas to help ensure that the pizza is truly free of any and all gluten to help with my dietary limitations. I will order a gluten free pizza again without hesitation from Garlic Jim's and am very grateful for this wonderful item on their menu.
I will also mention that the staff at the Mill Creek location has always been great. My orders have been accurate on every visit and I have never had any problems with any part of any visit at this location. I look forward to more orders in the future, with some of them being Gluten Free when I know I need to limit my gluten intake!

| Delicious GF Pizza! | | Submitted by anonymous - Clackamas. Submitted on 8/12/2010 8:18:04 AM | I love pizza. Just a few months ago, I found out I was gluten intolerant. I have slowly rebuilt my eating style, and was dearly missing pizza. A close friend who's been a celiac for over a year, and a former employee of Garlic Jim's, reminded me that Garlic Jim's has a GF pizza! I couldn't wait to try it, and let me tell you: the pizza was just like I liked it BEFORE I ate GF! Thin crust, no strange GF aftertaste, not greasy, lots of fresh toppings, and super tasty. Thanks Garlic Jim's! Bring me more GF deliciousness!

| Yum! | | Submitted by Julie - Bothell, WA. Submitted on 6/27/2010 8:53:51 PM | I ordered three pizzas online. Two regular ones for my husband and a gluten free one for my daughter and me. My husband is the impatient type and immediately began whining that he was hungry and wanted to eat. He wasn't even through whining when it arrived. It was that quick!
The gluten free pizza is very good. My only complaint is that they didn't note anywhere on the box that it was the gluten free one. I only know that it was because we got extra of every cheese they offer. My husband hates feta so it wasn't on his. And his crust looked different. I got the hand rolled for him.

| A new way to have pizza gluten free | | Submitted by Liz Water - S.Oregon. Submitted on 6/21/2010 8:14:48 PM | We have been enjoying Garlic Jim's since living in Keizer,OR back perhaps in 2006. We loved it then and always were happy to go and get it, just around the corner from us at the tie. Now we live in the NW area of Salem and though our branch here closed up regretfully so, we continue to order and have it delivered. Recently one of the family was told they have gluten intolerance and we are looking forward to our GF dinner this evening. I doubt we will be disappointed. Will let you know!

I found out that I had Celiac's Disease 2 years ago and all of a sudden my eating world was turned upside down! No longer could I just "pop" in somewhere and grab a bite to eat. While my choices at the supermarket have improved greatly, I truly missed a great slice of pizza. Several weeks ago I was referred to you through a fellow Celiac and to my astonishment I bit into your Jim's Gourmet Garlic pizza and heaven touched my taste buds! Thank you soooooo much! Even though I live in Castle Rock I'll drive up to you any day for a great slice:)

We really, really, really LOVE your pizza because it’s the ONLY gluten free take-out we know of. You can imagine how deprived we were not being able to have any until you came along. You made our return to pizza-eating days possible! And even our non-gluten-sensitive family and friends agree: that’s one GREAT-TASTING crust you make.

I have an autoimmune disorder (not Celiac's) along with many other health problems. My doctor wanted me to go gluten free to see if it's contributing to my not absorbing vitamins, especially D. Now I can go out for pizza with my grandkids! They like it as much as I do so thank you, thank you, thank you!

My husband and I recently tried a GF pizza and my husband likes them more then regular pizza I think. It was so nice to be able to go into a place and order something that I could actually eat, and that tasted so good. Plus it made me feel "normal".

| Gluten-free BBQ chicken pizza | | Submitted by Erika - Tacoma, Washington. Submitted on 2/17/2010 11:42:19 AM | My husband had recently been diagnosed with gluten allergies and border line celiac disease and our family thought we'd never be able to eat pizza again, until we found out about Garlic Jims gluten free pizza and he gave it a try and he says it was the best gluten free pizza he has tasted compared to another pizza joint that we will not mention. He usually orders the BBQ chicken or the vegetarian and he says the crust is good, not like cardboard at all!!! We just wish there were closer locations in the Tacoma area because we live farther out and have to drive for a carry out.

| Gluten-free AND vegan!! | | Submitted by Melanee - Studio City, CA. Submitted on 2/8/2010 11:45:30 AM | When I decided to go vegan two years ago, I knew I would most likely never eat a good pizza again, mainly because I had recently discovered I am sensitive to gluten.
Now yes, there are some raw food versions: expensive to buy and difficult to make. So I just let it go for awhile.
Since then, I've tried another gluten-free pizza, though it wasn't totally vegan (had to try it, though) and the crust wasn't really that great.
Garlic Jim's has the flavor and texture I want-- it's almost like a thinner, crispy focaccia. It's made with 100% normal ingredients(i.e. you could easily find these things at a grocery store: one with a specialty foods aisle, at least, for the flours), and no crazy preservatives or fillers.
Plus it holds up under my extra sauce and double toppings, staying crispy and delicious! To heat it back up, just stick it in a frying pan, covered, over medium-low heat for a few minutes (keep checking it). Perfect!
Great job, Garlic Jim's. You're worth the drive.

| Great Gluten-Free Pizza! | | Submitted by Shaun - Los Angeles. Submitted on 2/1/2010 2:41:41 PM | Visited Garlic Jim's in South Pasadena, Calif. for the first time this past weekend. I had been wanting to go for a couple of weeks since I heard about their gluten-free pizza. It was great, I built my own, with Canadian bacon, mushrooms and olives. It would be great if they expanded with more tables and chairs and offered gluten-free beer to go with the pizza! If you are interested in gluten-free recommendations, check my blog: www.glutenfreetwins.com

| Thin Crust Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Anne Rollo - Vancouver, WA. Submitted on 1/22/2010 4:16:46 PM | Only a Gluten free person would understand tears being shed when a GREAT pizza is eaten. That I did the evening we ordered a thin crusted pizza from Garlic Jim's. The crust is spicy and very tasty, unlike, anything I have ever tried in the past. Thanks so much Garlic Jim's in Vancouver for creating a pizza I can safely eat and proudly serve the family. By the way, they ALL thought it was great as well.

| Thank You for Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Verna Fletcher - Salem Oregon. Submitted on 1/22/2010 12:18:46 AM | I was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance after 1-1/2 years of tests & losing my job due to illness. Needless to say, thank you Garlic Jim's for allowing me to at least eat pizza. I am not a big eater, wanting a lot of foods, but pizza I did want. The South Salem eatery has been incredibly helpful and kind; above and beyond any service from ANYONE. I thank you for being there for us (my husband does not have the disorder, but can share a pizza with me) and I will spread the word of your kindness and understanding of this frustrating disorder. One day I hope all food servers could be as helpful as your managers and staff have been to me. THANK YOU SOUTH SALEM, OREGON GARLIC JIM'S!!!

| Awesome Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Gerri Schmidt - Torrance CA. Submitted on 12/30/2009 6:14:58 PM | I was diagnosed with Celiac disease about three months ago. It is a huge lifestyle change. Pizza was one of the foods I thought I would never have again. My daughter-in-law told me that Garlic Jim's in Redondo Beach carried gluten free pizza. About a week later I HAD to try it. WOW! What a surprise...it is fantastic! Thanks "Garlic Jim's" for realizing how many people are allergic to wheat and gluten, and making such a quality product.

| Thank You Garlic Jim's! | | Submitted by Britteny - Kirkland/Rose Hill. Submitted on 11/24/2009 1:55:11 PM | Thank you for making a gluten free pizza. I am not thanking you for myself, but because of a friend that I have that has gluten allergens and had not had pizza in some time. Visiting her, we ordered your gluten free pizza, and to my complete surprise, it was very delicious. Even to someone who doesn't have this allergen, I would actually consider ordering it that way myself in the future, but back to my friend. She was so excited to find out you had a gluten free option, and to my knowledge, orders probably once a week at least. I know it is hard for her to go out to eat because of this, but you have sure made it easier for her. Not to mention that your crust is quite delicious, which makes her doubly happy.
So on behalf of my gluten allergic friend, and myself for being able to take her out to dinner somewhere, THANK YOU!
Cheers,
Britteny

| Gluten free pizza AND customer service | | Submitted by Emily Hart - Tacoma. Submitted on 11/16/2009 6:46:36 PM | I ordered for the first time ever from you tonight and the gluten free pizza was WONDERFUL. I have Celiac's Disease and am trying to get used to a gluten free diet. My kids loved the orginal hand tossed as well. Your customer service was awesome, too. I called after ordering online to see howlong it would take for my order to be done. I was talking with the employee about the gluten free pizza briefly. We hung up and a couple moments later she called back because my order didn't reflect a gluten free option. I had mistakenly hit the wrong button, so she changed it for me. I would've been really disappointed to get home and see that I couldn't eat it OR even worse, eat it and get sick. We WILL be ordering again and again.

| 1st pizza in 2 years - thanks! | | Submitted by Judith - northeast LA. Submitted on 9/17/2009 3:17:40 PM | Since discovering I had gluten-intolerance, it's been a struggle. The worst was losing pasta and pizza. My spouse & I learned about alternative pastas, but gf pizza never tasted right. The crust either tastes like cardboard, is too stiff or turns to mush. Your pizza is the first I was able to have in over two years that is PROPER pizza. So thank you! I only wish you had more locations in more areas. Considering how good your pizza is (even my spouse loves your gf pizza), I'm sure you will be opening more soon.

This is one of the items I thought I was going to have to give up when I gave up Gluten. We love your GF pizza!

| Wow! | | Submitted by Kumar Plocher - Hopland, CA. Submitted on 9/13/2009 5:52:46 PM | I've been aware of my gluten sensitivity for a long time now, and have developed a keen longing for things like good pizza. In all, I've had 5 other products to this effect: 3 frozen food brands, and a couple of different sit-in eateries. All of their crusts had the same problem: the flavor of the crust inevitably reminds you that you are eating something DIFFERENT than NORMAL pizza. Not so with Garlic Jim's! First, I have to say it was awesome to be able to order a regular variety pizza, and not be limited in toppings (we got a 1/2 Gourmet Garlic, 1/2 Spinach Pie). Second, the pizza looked wonderful- I had to take a picture. Thin crust with a nice gradient to a dark edge. Third, The place actually MARKETS their gluten-freeness, both at the website, and with banners hanging outside the store (again had to take a picture). I never would have imagined this. Finally, the taste was excellent- very much like a traditional thin crust. Even the part without toppings was delicious, with just enough oily goodness. I can't say enough about this pizza! I was visiting my bro in Olympia, and pizza seemed like a good post-hike thing. I had no idea that there was a place in nearby Lacey that would be this good! Thank you so much!!!!

| Thanks :) | | Submitted by Mamie - Highlands Ranch, CO. Submitted on 9/8/2009 9:20:32 PM | I just wanted to drop you a few lines telling you how much I appriciate your Gluten Free menu! I found out that I had Celiac's Disease 2 years go and all of a sudden my eating world was turned upside down!

I went to the Pasadena location and ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza. I think I cried when I tasted it - it has been so long since I've had a "real" pizza!! It tasted so good, that I've become one of your biggest fans. Thank you so much!

| GF pizza | | Submitted by Stephanie - Kent. Submitted on 8/24/2009 8:04:37 PM | I had not eaten pizza that I didn't have to make myself for 4 years and it was something that I had almost given up on finding, but then one of my friends told me about the GF pizza crust and it was awesome!! Initially I was worried because I figured just the crust was GF and that there would be other ingredients (i.e. sauces/toppings) that had been overlooked and that the pizza wasn't really GF. I even asked about cross contamination. The people at Garlic Jim's explained about their thoroughness at checking all ingredients and that they were aware of cross contamination issues as well. Now every time I order, the owner of the franchise I go to even remembers that I need them to take off the cheese. =) Way to go!! It's great to feel like people actually care!! And, the pizza is awesome!!

| Love, Love, Love It! | | Submitted by Paula - Burien. Submitted on 8/21/2009 10:06:50 AM | Thank you so much for offering not just a gluten-free pizza but an allergen free pizza for people like me who cannot have dairy and eggs as well as gluten! The pizza has been wonderful and for the first time in 5 years I can feel like a normal person on those nights I do not want to cook! I order double toppings since I cannot have the cheese and in no way do I feel jipped! Although we have to drive 25 minutes to pick it up in West Seattle it is worth every minute of the drive. Open one up here in Burien - I know a ton of people like me in the are that would love an opportunity to eat at your restaurant!

| Garlic Jim's Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Jessica - Simi Valley, CA. Submitted on 8/3/2009 10:16:44 AM | My husband and I moved to Simi Valley, CA a week ago ... and found we are blocks away from Garlic Jim's. We ordered a GF Ultimate pizza yesterday and is was INCREDIBLE! It's been over 6 years since I was able to order a pizza for delivery rather than make it from scratch. For those of you Celiacs that have been there, you know how special that is. Thank you Garlic Jim's for providing this service to us. It gave us a special "move in" treat.

| Great GF Pizza | | Submitted by Steve - Salem, OR. Submitted on 7/31/2009 11:10:58 PM | I was diagnosed with celiac disease four years ago (after nearly 20 years of increasing suffering without knowing the cause). We are fortunate to live less than a mile from a Garlic Jim's, and the GF pizza is great! Dining options for celiacs are very limited, but it's fantastic to see more restaurants offering GF alternatives. Thanks!

| Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Shari G. - Westchester, CA. Submitted on 7/31/2009 2:32:11 AM | I found Garlic Jim's through an internet search for gluten free pizza. Originally, I was searching for some recipes in hopes that I might be able to make a pizza that was as close to what I remember pizza tasting like. To my greatest surprise, I found Garlic Jim's! For a week I plotted my trip, it is a bit of a drive for me b/c the location is in Redondo Bch and I am close to LAX. Let's just say the trip was worth it! So delicious and I have been spreading the good news to all of my gluten free friends. My only recommendation is to open a store closer to my house!

When I lived in Eugene and would visit friends in Portland I'd always volunteer to do the pizza run to Garlic Jim's, so I could get in on the pizza goodness. Now that I live up here, Garlic Jim's is a regular thing. While I live outside the delivery area, it's definately worth the drive.

| Amazing Pizza! | | Submitted by Natalie - Miami, FL. Submitted on 7/21/2009 1:49:00 PM | Thank you thank you thank you! The pizza is delicious and I'm super thankful for being able to add pizza back on my "can" list. I've been gluten free for 8 years. I moved out of town for a few years and was spoiled in a city where gluten free pizza nights were much more common. I was saddened to leave the pizza behind when I moved back home. When I found out that you guys were opening up in my home town, I was thrilled! Freshly done pizza has to be the one thing that I missed the most. In my opinion, everything else has a comparable. But frozen pizza just didn't do it for me. I love your herb seasoned crust, YUM!

| Gluten-free | | Submitted by LeeBee - Portland, OR. Submitted on 7/18/2009 7:07:03 PM | Our 4 1/2 year old daughter is allergic to wheat. Usually anything gluten free is also wheat free, so we tried the pizza. Tastes great to her, I didn't try it though, but she's even more of a picky eater, so I'm guessing it's really good. No ear infection after eating the pizza so it totally gets two thumbs up from us!

Submitted on 7/11/2009 7:46:14 PM | I had a party planned and to be able to accomodate my guests I ordered a dozen large pizzas gluten-free. I had had the pizza before and knew the excellent quality and delicious taste of the gluten-free. The pies were ready on time! and I couldn't have felt prouder as everyone devoured all of them but couldn't believe they weren't regular pizzas. Preparing for the party had been very stressful as one thing after another went wrong but at least everything went perfect and stress free with Garlic Jim's! Thank you so much and you've now got a dozen families as new customers!

| thanks for the gluten free pizza | | Submitted by Carol - Georgia. Submitted on 6/27/2009 1:58:34 PM | I attended the GIG conference as a Branch Manager recently and was there to see Garlic Jim's recognized for their involvement with offering safe gluten free pizza. My husband and I remained on the West Coast following the conference. While in Portland, we enjoyed a pizza at our hotel. What a pleasant experience to enjoy a good pizza that just happens to be gluten free.
If you have an opportunity to expand to the Middle Georgia area we would welcome the opportunity to again enjoy your pizza. As it is, we will check your locations as we travel. To my knowledge, we have no gluten free pizza in this area.

I was excited to learn of Garlic Jim's options, but I was skeptical. Thank goodness that it's great! One suggestion: Don't order just cheese - add more toppings - otherwise, it can be pretty bland.

Today the guy dropped off the Garlic Jim's GF pizza and it made me smile, cause I had a pizza in my hands. And it tastes really good. The crust is of course slightly different, but I was really impressed. Thank you!

Actually my 86 year old Dad loves the Pepperoni GF pizza better than the Abby's pizza he normally buys in Oregon where he lives. That is really saying something! Thanks again!

THANK YOU for allowing him fuller social participation--you can guess what will be on all our birthday party menus!

There is no one making GF pizza in Branson and as a support group leader, I get inquiries all the time asking for a restaurant that prepares GF pizza. Thanks for serving GF pizza!

| GF Pizza | | Submitted by Susan - Kent, WA. Submitted on 6/11/2009 12:16:59 PM | I can finally enjoy my pizza knowing that it will not cause me pain! I am Gluten intolerant and have been trying to find my "regular" foods in a GF version for a year now. We only indulge in pizza once a month or so and Jim's GF pizza was great! It was fresh with a chewy and flavorful crust that I really liked. There are so many of us Gluten intolerant consumers out there, way to go Jim's being ahead of the curve!

| You don't have to have Celiac to enjoy the Gluten Free Pizza! | | Submitted by The Crichlow Family - Los Angeles, CA. Submitted on 5/22/2009 2:53:42 AM | There aren't a lot of gluten free pizza restaurants, so we really appreciate Garlic Jim's for providing this option. This is hands down the best gluten free pizza I have eaten. Even better, the rest of my family does not have Celiac, and they enjoy the gluten free pizza as well. I wish there was one closer to me, but the pizza is well worth the 20 mile drive.

| I CAN NOT EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO GARLIC JIM'S ENOUGH!!! | | Submitted by Steven Elowe - La Crescenta, CA. Submitted on 5/17/2009 9:04:54 PM | My family has pizza several times per month...all kinds...gourmet to Domino's. We're not incredibly picky...but we like any decent to great pizza. I used to make my own from scratch...all kinds of different dough (a little rosemary was always my fav)...all kinds of different sauces and toppings....we just love pizza...so it's all (almost) good.
Then about 6 years ago I found out that I have celiac disease (total intolerance to Gluten)...explaining a vast array of medical problems and symptoms I had had for close to 20 years...it took doctors that long to find out what was wrong...the only cure...eat nothing with gluten in it for the rest of my life. No more bread...no more pizza.
It was difficult for a very long time to watch my family eat pastas, pizza, breads and such...until recently when my 'little cheats' at small bites of them caused so much pain that I have turned that corner...I see bread, it equals pain...which makes it so much easier to resist.
Then we get a coupon in a magazine for GARLIC JIM'S...and at the bottom they say they have Gluten Free. I'm fairly skeptical..not only because the store is 14 miles from my house, but also because I've tried every Gluten free thing i can get my hands on...and although a few are good...most of the time Gluten Free usually equals "falls-apart-easy-flavorless-sand"....so I didn't get my hopes up (and yes...I've tried several times unsuccessfully, to make my own--bad every time).
I CAN NOT EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO GARLIC JIM'S ENOUGH!!! FIRSTLY, IT'S THE BEST GLUTEN FREE CRUST I'VE EVER HAD!!! We ordered the gourmet Spinach and artichoke...AWESOME!!!! Secondly, being able to eat pizza with my family again...enjoy it that much...and have no pain....!!??!! SERIOUSLY---YOU'VE NO IDEA HOW AMAZING THIS IS FOR ME....THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
We ordered regular tossed crust cheese and tomato for the kids...they loved it as well.
Thanks again GJ's....I will spread the word however I can.

This crust tastes amazing and I thank you a million times over! Please don't EVER stop making it! I am a fan for life.

Submitted on 5/4/2009 11:30:06 AM | THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, (and 1,000,000 more THANK YOUS), for providing delicious Gluten free take out pizza to the Celiac community. As the Mom in a busy family with children, I have really missed being able to grab a take out pizza for the family on busy nights, or when I want a break from cooking. It is a wonderful GIFT that you have brought this option back into my Gluten free families life. The crust on the Gluten free was crisp and chewy like pizza crust should be, and my whole family loved it. I was also impressed with the stringent methods your restaurants observe to avoid Gluten cross- contamination. It gave me peace of mind to order with confidence. Please always keep your Gluten free pizza on the menu! Garlic Jim's ROCKS!!!!

| A family TREAT! | | Submitted by Karen Cormac-Jones - Salem, OR. Submitted on 4/23/2009 7:51:02 AM | Thank you SO MUCH for providing such delicious pizza at an affordable price! We can call and have a hot, fresh, yummy, SAFE pizza in 15 minutes, which is a miracle. Our son is very sensitive to gluten, and has never gotten sick after eating Garlic Jim's pizza - no more waking up at 2:00 in the morning with a very sick boy (whew). And even people who don't follow a gluten-free diet also love this stuff! Kyle, the manager at the South Salem Garlic Jim's gave a wonderful presentation to our Gluten Intolerance Group about how the pizzas are prepared in a separate room with separate ingredients and said that they now use a tapioca/cornmeal flour to toss the regular pizza in the main area to eliminate any airborne cross-contamination. Kyle also used the term "gluten intolerance" instead of "celiac disease," which a lot of us appreciated (we are all gluten intolerant, but we don't all have celiac disease). THANK YOU so MUCH - your employees are all super and your product is superior!

| Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Monika - Pasadena. Submitted on 3/27/2009 11:48:58 AM | Words could never express how happy it has made my son that he can eat a pizza. There have been countless tears of frustration of him feeling left out because he cannot have the pizza served at parties and various functions. He ran screaming through the house. "my pizza is here, MY pizza is here!" He is six and practically ate the whole medium pizza. If you need a testimonial in commercial, please contact us, I am sure my son will convince America to come aboard. If you want to stand out from the competition, you need a niche. Please advise your marketing department that zillions of preschoolers to high school kids cannot eat regular pizza. Monopolize on that area alone. I had NO IDEA about Garlic Jim's gluten free pizza until another mother mentioned it to me, because her daughter is allergic to wheat. I could type a novel on this subject. I am spreading the word immediately. If you have any coupons or saving deals please advise via email. Thanks a million. Monika

Submitted on 3/18/2009 8:37:54 PM | Thank you for offering a really, really good pizza that gluten intolerant people can eat and enjoy! I ordered several pizzas for a company event some regular crust and some GF crust expecting to have most of the GF pizza for me. Well everyone wanted to try the GF pizza and it was Gone in 60 seconds. Everyone raved about it saying you couldn't tell it from a 'regular' pizza. Bad for hungry me but good news for GF pizza lovers! Thanks again!

| Totally hypo allergenic pizza !!! | | Submitted by Mariko! - Hollywood. Submitted on 2/19/2009 12:38:43 AM | So Im pretty much allergic to everything" gluten, soy, corn and cow dairy. I saw online about the GF pizza, and freaked out ... but had my reservations because "gluten free" still usually means I can't eat it. Well, I called ahead, and the crust is corn free, uses canola and only a minimal amount of soy oil for processing. I had feta but on instead of the mozzarella .. so it was totally mariko appropriate !!! I ate half before we left the parking lot .. and it was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!! It was about a 45 minute drive, and I knkow I will be making that trip often !!!! (i had the hawaiian )

My husband and I are thrilled that we can once again share a restaurant-made meal together. Your employees knowledge of the importance of not cross-contaminating with wheat flour crust, and the cleanliness of the store really made me feel confident in trying your gluten free pizza. I'm so glad I did! It's delicious, and even my gluten-eating husband LOVES it. Thank you so much!

I can't tell you how excited I was to hear (via the Tacoma Tribune) that you offer gluten free pizza crust. Celiac disease runs in my family and I have had it my entire life. I just ordered my first "real" hot and ready to go pizza and it was delicious. I also can't tell you how nice it was to be able to eat out and feel like a normal person without confusing the order taker with all of my "special needs". I have passed on this info to my family and they can't wait to have a "real" pizza too! Thanks for recognizing the need for gluten free dining!

| GLUTEN FREE PIZZA IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA??? | | Submitted by Ani P. - Pasadena. Submitted on 2/11/2009 8:14:05 AM | GLUTEN FREE PIZZA IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA??? Gluten free pizza in the Los Angeles are??? This can't possibly be. Life simply can't get this good, can it???
Los Angeles has wonderful food. *Sigh*, Los Angeles until now has always lacked in gluten free pizza. I have searched yelp and googled like crazy on a regular basis in search of gluten free or wheat free pizza to no avail. All of the wheat free options I've found just haven't been real pizza. I don't want soy cheese on my pizza! I want real cheese and toppings like spicy sausage and pepperoni. I'm not eating pizza to be healthy. It's comfort food that satisfies a deep craving and fulfills me as a human being. Until now, I had to resort to homemade pizza-toast as the only means to gastronomical salvation.
I was sitting in my office fantasizing about dinner around 5ish. I was overtaken by hunger. I found a gluten free Los Angeles blog where Garlic Jim's PR team left a comment informing the blogger of their pizza joint that also served a gluten free crust! I didn't believe it. I googled Garlic Jim's and found a location in Pasadena (lucky I work in Pasadena!). The pizza looked delish on the website. I didn't see gluten free pizza advertised. I hesitantly called Garlic Jim's. I was SHOCKED when the guy on the phone said, "Yes, we offer a gluten free pizza." I had to get my bearings. I breathlessly told him that I needed a moment and I would call him back.
I called my husband -- this news had to be shared and celebrated. I started whispering on the telephone. I was too excited to scream. I could only speak in 1/2 inch whispers. I told him that one of the greatest discoveries had been found today. *Pause* He waited patiently and I said slowly, "real gluten free pizza." My husband, a good man, matched my enthusiasm even though he has no allergies to wheat and said, "This is a miracle. You must get that pie now. Immediately. This is the dream."
I ordered a gluten free pizza with spicy sausage and garlic. The gluten free pizza only comes in a medium (thankfully). I was told my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. Garlic Jim's is in a plaza of sorts with ample parking. I zipped right into a parking spot. There were a few tables, but this seems more like a delivery or pickup type of place. I gushed to the lady as I paid her, I told her this was a dream come true. If I was Jesus, I would have blessed her and may have canonized Garlic Jim as a saint.
I was handed a cardboard pizza box. An actual for real pizza box. Not a frozen box from Whole Foods, but a real pizza box. My hands almost shook. I asked for red pepper and the lady asked me, "are you sure that's gluten free." Oh my gawd, she really cares about my allergy.
For a hot second, I thought about waiting until I got home to try the pizza. But will power and self-control left me. I simply couldn't wait. I opened the box and looked at my pizza with adoration. The crust was not store bought or pre-made, it was freshly made at Garlic Jim's. I took a bite and held back tears. The crust is thin but not too crispy, not too chewy, just right. The cheese and the sauce were divine and in proper proportion. There was ample amounts of great quality spicy sausage and garlic. Minimum grease. I'm ashamed to admit -- I ate half the box of pizza before I reached my house.
I got home and waited for my husband. I was full, stuffed really, but I could have eaten the rest out of pure gluttony. He came home and we played this game: Hubby: Baby, this is gluten free pizza, you eat it. Me: No, it's delish and I'm full, you love pizza, please eat the rest. Hubby: Baby no, eat it for dinner tomorrow. Me: Oh honey, you're too sweet, I have leftovers I have to finish. I insist.
So he ate my pizza! He's a pizza-lover and said, "I prefer thick crust, but this thin crust is good as any other. The ingredients are excellent quality. This pizza really is tasty. I wouldn't even know it's missing gluten!" I took a gi-normous bite out of each slice he ate (this is a wife's right) and he pecked my cheeks with kisses.
This morning, I opened up the empty cardboard box, and looked at it with longing. If the box was edible, I may have tried to eat it.

| SO good | | Submitted by Lillian - Everett. Submitted on 2/8/2009 8:59:10 PM | I always order the gluten free pizzas in chicken bacon ranch (no bacon) or the queen marg. Someday I should branch out more, but they're amazing. I try to order at least once a month. Best. Pizza. Ever. I 've missed pizza that I didn't make myself for over a decade, ever since my celiac disease diagnosis. My boyfriend eats the GF pizzas with me, and I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have pizza and movies with my boyfriend at home, and know what I'm eating is safe. Also, I finally get pizza again when I'm throwing parties!

| gluten-free pizza | | Submitted by Vicky - Redmond. Submitted on 2/6/2009 8:56:21 AM | We just tried a Gourmet Hawaiian on the gluten free crust as well as a cheese on a thin gluten free crust. I am the one who has a problem with wheat, but I made my daughter share the Hawaiian with me. I have just been off wheat for about 2 months and this is the first pizza I have had since then...My son tried the thin crust and he thought it was good. He said it just reminded him of regular thin crust. My daughter thought the Hawaiian was fine but she doesn’t have to eat gluten free, however she said she would share with me again.
I was thrilled to see the sign for gluten free crust, that is why we came by. I was definitely missing pizza and it is nice to not feel left out. Keep up the good work!
Thanks,
Vicky

I was so relieved because I was thinking how difficult this was going to be living with a pizza lover! We ordered it and it was good!

| I Can't Believe it's Gluten FREE!! | | Submitted by Deb Wheaton - La Canada, CA. Submitted on 1/22/2009 10:43:14 AM | I was thrilled when I heard that Garlic Jim’s is offering gluten free pizza. The fact is that most of us (with Celiac disease or gluten intolerance) will try anything that remotely looks and/or smells like a crust. And it almost always tastes like a soggy dishrag. Your pizza is delicious. The crust was perfect! Unbelievable. Absolutely the best GF pizza I’ve ever tasted. It’s like Garlic Jim’s is making real pizza that happens to be GF! No kidding, it’s wonderfully hard to believe it’s Gluten Free. And, bonus, the toppings are fresh and full of flavor. It is inspiring to learn how seriously Garlic Jim’s takes our need [to] be gluten free and the lengths you have gone to in keeping us safe. Others will follow, but Garlic Jim’s has set the bar very high indeed.

I heard about the new offering through a gluten website (Clan Thompson) and stopped in to find out if/when my local store would offer gluten free pizzas. To my surprise, I was told that the GF pizzas were available now! It has been over 6 years since I've had a hot, fresh pizza - it was delicious!!! I'm thrilled that you've made this decision to support the gluten intolerent community. I have already passed on this information to others who are also gluten intolerent. Thank you, again!

| Gluten Free Pizza | | Submitted by Lisa - Redmond. Submitted on 1/14/2009 8:28:53 AM | Just wanted to drop a note to say "Bravo" on securing that little niche of business! For years I have been waiting for a savvy business person to recognize this not so small group of customers. I just happened to be shopping at a PCC market in Redmond and the checker noticed I was buying a lot of gluten free products and she game me the Garlic Jim's flyer. Pizza is one of the foods I miss the most since going gluten free.

Submitted on 1/13/2009 8:32:45 AM | I ordered my pizza in advance, and asked for a specific time for it to be delivered...(they did not offer gluten-free on the website, I had to order on the phone). I just tried your gluten free pizza at the Redmond, WA location this past Friday night. I was blown away!

I will also mention that the staff at the Mill Creek location has always been great. My orders have been accurate on every visit and I have never had any problems with any part of any visit at this location. I look forward to more orders in the future, with some of them being Gluten Free when I know I need to limit my gluten intake!

The gluten free pizza is very good. My only complaint is that they didn't note anywhere on the box that it was the gluten free one. I only know that it was because we got extra of every cheese they offer. My husband hates feta so it wasn't on his. And his crust looked different. I got the hand rolled for him.

The people at Garlic Jim's explained about their thoroughness at checking all ingredients and that they were aware of cross contamination issues as well.
Now every time I order, the owner of the franchise I go to even remembers that I need them to take off the cheese. =)
Way to go!! It's great to feel like people actually care!! And, the pizza is awesome!!

If you have an opportunity to expand to the Middle Georgia area we would welcome the opportunity to again enjoy your pizza. As it is, we will check your locations as we travel. To my knowledge, we have no gluten free pizza in this area.

One suggestion: Don't order just cheese - add more toppings - otherwise, it can be pretty bland.

Sure wish we could have a Garlic Jims in Branson, Missouri which is very near our home!
There is no one making GF pizza in Branson and as a support group leader, I get inquiries all the time asking for a restaurant that prepares GF pizza.
Thanks for serving GF pizza!

He came home and we played this game:
Hubby: Baby, this is gluten free pizza, you eat it.
